Land Rover Discovery – 2020 Review

Land Rover Discovery is one of the latest car models and the last car that came from land Rover’s factory. Due to many questions regarding this vehicle, we decided to review it and put its performance on the test. This 5-door, 4-wheel drive automatic SUV uses 2.0 liters diesel motor with 4 cylinders and 177 kW of motor power. It is also one of the most economic vehicles for towing as it takes 7.4liters of diesel per 100 kilometers without a tow, while with the cargo this can go up to 15liters per 100kms. Yes, this might to a bit higher consumption, but considering the performance, it is economic. If you want something that does not take too much fuel while has enough power to tow medium-sized vehicles, this is your best choice!
What about towing with Land Rover Discovery?
The four-cylinder motor is perfect for towing medium-sized to big trailers. During the tow, the vehicle stays firmly on the ground, thanks to its 2,104kgs weight. You can even rush up to 100 km/h with your trailer towed and you will not face any problems during the faster ride! It offers good acceleration, especially seen when you are driving uphill where the clutching is crucial for an optimal drive. The motor is not loud at all, even when you have extra cargo or a trailer!
Towing features
Trailer Light Assist, Trailer Stability Assist Rear Height Assist are special towing features that come along with this new Land Rover Discovery model. These features make your life easier as these correct the trailer sway, plus you have the rear camera system when you are going in reverse. Still, it is important to note that there are a few other features that you should buy additionally if you are going to use this vehicle only for towing. Especially if you plan to work on the harsh terrains and bad weather. The Advanced Off-Road Capability Pack adds a few other features that you might need for towing or moving in the bad weather conditions so it is highly recommended to pay a bit more for these.
The general impression
Land Rover Discovery might be a bit more expensive than what you might expect, but the fuel consumption and extra towing features will make everything easier. Therefore, if you are not on the budget, we highly recommend you getting this SUV that is one of the best at the moment!
