Chicago Seminar 2005 : "Maximize Your Digital Camera Performance"

Our most recent seminar "Maximize Your Digital Video Camera" was held in Chicago on October 26. Hosted by Leader Instruments at the Westin hotel, the keynote speaker was Mike Caporale. Mr. Caporale's credits include motion picture production, studio photography as well extensive teaching experience. Many of you may know Mike from his Varicamp training programs.

One of the major goals in this program was to help bridge the gap between the artistic and engineering sides of camera set up; and, in particular, to help people understand how what they see on the Waveform Monitor/Vectorscope relates to specific camera adjustments. We also wanted to show the audience how the waveform monitor helps them achieve a better camera alignment. At the end of the seminar they should have a much better understanding of how to use the Waveform Monitor and Vectorscope to produce better results.

Judging from the attendee feedback we were right on target. Mike's non-technical approach to the subject was really appreciated, and everyone felt they walked away with a far better understanding of how to blend the artistic and engineering elements together.
