NEW VISUAL DISPLAYS: We are announcing "visual" features for our products to suit the specific needs of each discipline in our industry. Engineers and production/creative people have different needs for measurement. Technical displays like waveforms and vectorscopes are easily understood by engineering personnel and are well suited for engineering operations. However, technical displays show very little about picture composition and are not well suited for production work. In production, visual tools that help analyze the image are essential. Using a waveform monitor to evaluate lighting on a set is like using a hammer in place of a drill. Both will make a hole....but the drill works a lot better for making holes. Waveform/vector for engineering personnel, CINELITE, CINEZONE and 5-Bar for creative personnel. Given the fact that test equipment is used by both engineering and creative personnel, a monitor without Leader visual tools only does half the job.

For example, our new CINELITE on-picture measurement system bridges the creative and technical gap between DPs and DITs by providing instant, on-picture measurements of any point in your picture and reporting the measurements in f-stops, percentage or RGB values. Our new CINEZONE false-colors display provides an instant view of exposure zones and is invaluable for the setup of critical work (i.e. green screen setup). As well, the CINEZONE false colors display provides an easy way of isolating exposure zones making your shot composition and exposure settings easier and more accurate than ever. The new CINELITE, CINEZONE and 5-Bar features are now incorporated within our new LV5330 Portable Multi-SDI Monitor and are also available as an option for several existing products. The new LV5330 includes everything you have come to expect from Leader pro-video monitors plus new visual tools that help enhance your understanding of your work and help you effectively communicate with other members of the production team and throughout the post production process. NEW RASTERIZERS: We are also introducing several improvements to our popular LV7700 with our new LV7730 including the addition of visual tools. But, more importantly, we are introducing a rasterizer version of our award winning LV5800 with an eye on versatility and savings. Our new LV7800 Rasterizer will use the same option cards as our LV5800 half-rack Multi-SDI monitor. This level of flexibility is unprecedented - design your system with Leader LV5800 and LV7800 products and you have total flexibility with system configuration. Get a rasterizer for one position and a half-rack monitor for another position and they both work the same - reducing the learning curve for your staff. CINELITE & CINEZONE: We have also improved our LV5330 On-Camera Monitor and our LV5380 8 inch test monitor and have added a number of features to these new instruments including our popular CINELITE on-picture measurement display and CINEZONE false colors display. These new displays allow non-technical operators to utilize test equipment for their own measurement purposes and make measurements while looking at the picture.

PHABRIX Award Winning & Portable, Now With Eye Pattern: Leader Instruments is proud to represent the Phabrix product line in the Americas. This new solution provider for Leader Instruments, Phabrix, introduced their new Phabrix SxE along with several options and upgrades for their existing product line. The new Phabrix SXE adds eye pattern capabilities to the already popular Phabrix line of portable instruments and received a NAB Pick Hit award during NAB2009!
